A senior member of Silvio
Berlusconi's center-right Forza Italia (FI) party said Friday
Premier Matteo Renzi broke the so-called Nazareno pact on
electoral and other reforms.
"We would have liked a shared name (for president) but the
PD has broken the pact and Renzi's call is too little too late,"
Giovanni Toti told reporters.
Toti said this is why his party will cast blank ballots in
the fourth round of voting for Italy's next president, refusing
to back Renzi's candidate Sergio Mattarella.
