Reform Minister Maria Elena Boschi said Thursday her governing Democratic Party (PD) has an understanding with Forza Italia (FI), led by ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi, on the timing of election reform measures followed by voting for a new president - if the incumbent Giorgio Napolitano should resign. Earlier this week, Premier Matteo Renzi said his government's first priority is to see a reformed election law passed by the Senate early in the new year and before any voting for a new Italian president.
