Renzi meets with Prodi for two hours

'A positive thing' says Fassina

(ANSA) - Rome, December 15 - Premier Matteo Renzi on Monday met with ex-premier Romano Prodi for almost two hours.
Stefano Fassina, a leading dissenter within the premier's Democratic Party (PD), said the fact that Renzi and Prodi met was "a positive thing".
"I don't know what they said so I prefer not to comment," he added.
A former president of the Democratic Party (PD), Prodi was prime minister from 1996 to 1998 and from 2006 to 2008, and presided the European Commission from 1999 to 2004.
