Around 14.2 million Italians
will take a trip that involves spending at least one night away
from home over the Christmas and New Year holiday period,
hotelier's association Federalberghi said Friday. The
association said that was 11.6% higher than in the 2015 festive
period. It said these trips would generate business of 8.7
billion euros, up 9.5% with respect to 2015. Federalberghi said
that half of the 46 million Italians who are not taking a trip
are staying put because of economic factors.
