Giorgio Armani said after a show in
Dubai marking the 10th anniversary of the Armani Hotel in the
Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest skyscraper, that "the desert
always returns in my dreams, even though I've never seen it and
always in my collections there is some reference to exoticism:
their poetic way of dressing is irresistible".
The show featured silver palms reflecting the Oriental flavour
of the designs, marking the second of the three days of the
Milan Fashion Global Summit, organized in streaming by Class
Editori.
The great designer said it as hard to predict the future of
fashion. "There is a kind of osmosis in fashion: seeing the
young people as they are dressed here, with their shirts out,
low necklines, pants that end at the calf. It's not much
different from how they dress in Africa, for example. That's it,
there's a desire to unify what is comfortable".
The show also featured Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin.
