A healthy society will ruin
neoFascist publisher Altaforte, which has been ejected from the
Turin Book fair, leftwing TV host, film director, actor and
writer Pierfrancesco Diliberto aka Pif said at the event Friday.
"The partisans have won, and we live in a democracy,
therefore no one stops a publisher publishing Fascist books,"
said Pif of the publisher close to neoFascist group CasaPound.
"It will be the healthy, antifascist society that will ruin
that publishing house because no one, I hope, will buy those
books".
Altaforte was barred after a suit filed by the city of Turin
and the Piedmont regional government for alleged apology of
Fascism.
Many leftwing writers who had announced a boycott of the
event will now be attending after all.
Interior Minister and rightist populist League leader Matteo
Salvini, who has published a book of interviews with Altaforte,
said its exclusion was censorship, "like burning books".
