The Colosseum was again Italy's
most visited art site last year followed again by Pompeii and
the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the culture ministry said
Friday.
State museums and archaeological sites were visited by over
55 million people last year, a rise of over five million on the
previous year, the ministry said.
Gross takings rose by 35.4 million euros to almost 230
million euros, it said.
