British singer and
songwriter Mika will host a television show on RAI Channel 2
public broadcaster in November and could debut in a feature
film, the artist said Friday at the Giffoni children's film
festival in Campania.
Mika, whose real name is Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr.,
said he has turned down parts in three different movies in the
past.
However he said he is considering accepting a part he got
after a recent audition.
"It's a big risk," he said.
"I still don't know what I'm going to do".
Mika's first full-length studio album, Life in Carton
Motion, was released in 2007 and sold over 5.6 million copies
worldwide, helping him win a Brit Award the following year.
His latest album, No Place in Heaven, was released in 2015.
The Giffoni film festival for kids and teens founded and
directed by Claudio Gubitosi opened on July 15 and runs through
July 24. The theme of this year's edition is "destination".
