Italian conductor Riccardo Muti told ANSA Friday that he has received an invitation to work with Milan's La Scala but has not yet decided what to do. Muti said La Scala Superintendent Alexander Pereira gave him a letter letter signed by numerous musicians asking him to work there.
Muti resigned from Rome Opera in 2014, citing a labour dispute, mismanagement, and cash issues. Muti was music director for Teatro alla Scala for 19 years.
