Helen Mirren and Antonio Banderas
are among the stars expected at the 13th Ischia Film Festival to
be held July 12-19.
Classical tenor Andrea Bocelli, TV host and comedian Jimmy
Kimmel (whose family is originally from Ischia), and Italian
directors Matteo Garrone and Mario Martone are also expected on
the red carpet.
Director Taylor Hackford is set to receive the Ischia
Legend Award), while Daniel Bruhl will be awarded the European
Actor of the Year prize.
The festival opens with the late Robin Williams' last film,
Dito Montiel's Boulevard.
Films premiering at the Mediterranean island festival
include Spy, a comedy by Paul Feig starring Jude Law, Melissa
McCarthy and Jason Statham and Rob Cohen's The Boys Next Door
with Jennifer Lopez.
