Environment Minister Gian Luca
Galletti on Tuesday launched a competition on sustainability
open to all partners of Expo 2015.
'Towards a sustainable Expo' "aims to give visibility and
recognition to the initiatives adopted by participants in Expo,"
Galletti said.
"The objective is to provide visitors with examples of
virtuous conduct for the environment," he added.
The competition has four sections: pavilion design and
materials; food and beverages; furniture, merchandise, packaging
and events organisation; and other initiatives.
The winners will be announced during specific events over
the course of the six-month world's fair.
Expo opens on May 1 on the theme 'Feeding the planet,
energy for life'.
