One in three adolescents in
Italy aged 16-17 has had full sexual intercourse - 35% of boys
and 28% of girls - according to a study by the health ministry
and the Higher Health Institute (ISS) released on Tuesday.
The study said that over eight in 10 young people get
information about sex and fertility online.
It added that many young people think they know more about
sex than they do and it said sexual education in school was not
up to scratch.
