Tax police on Tuesday arrested
the president and director general of the national nurses
welfare insurance agency ENPAPI as well as a businessman, a
lawyer and an accountant in a probe into suspected kickbacks at
the agency.
The three professionals are alleged to have paid bribes to
the agency's heads in exchange for consultancies into funds in
which the agency had invested, police said.
The consultancies were worth some 50 million euros since
2012, police said.
