Four youths got sentences
ranging between five and nine years in jail Friday for attacking
and seriously injuring the son of former footballer Stefano
Bettarini and his ex-wife, TV presenter Simona Ventura, outside
a Milan discotheque on July 1 last.
The four were found to have stabbed Niccolò Bettarini, 19,
several times.
Prosecutors had requested 10-year sentences for all four
defendants.
"A nightmare is over," Niccolò Bettarini said.
"Justice has been done," he said, adding that he wanted to
decline 200,000 euros in compensation.
