Investigators have identified a youth who is suspected of sparking the stampede that claimed six lives, including those of five minors, during a rap concert at a night club in Corinaldo, near Ancona, late on Friday. The suspect is a 15-year-old who has been detained on drugs charges, sources said.
He may have caused the stampede by using pepper spray, although it is not certain that he caused the wave of panic and prosecutors are looking into various avenues. Investigators are also looking into whether the club sold more tickets to the event that the venue could safety hold.
