A Bologna appeals court on
Wednesday declared effective in Italy a sentence with which a US
court authorised the adoption of a girl by an Italo-American
woman married in the States to the girl's biological mother.
ANSA sources said the judges therefore upheld an appeal by
the woman, against Bologna city council and the Italian interior
ministry.
The ruling appears to have settled a case that began in 2014
and which Italy's Constitutional Court also got involved in,
sources told ANSA.
There has been a series of similar rulings around Italy.
