EU Audit Court agst Italy flexibility

'More rigid norms needed for highly indebted nations'

(ANSA) - Brussels, July 12 - The EU Audit Court on Thursday came out against granting budget flexibility to Italy.
The Court said Italy's high debt, the second-biggest in the EU after Greece's, precluding granting such wiggle room.
"More rigid norms are needed for highly indebted nations," the court said.
