Smog fuelled by an unusually
long dry spell has hit northern Italy and traffic has been
ordered to a halt in seven Lombardy provinces including Milan as
well as Turin to the west.
The traffic halt in the Piedmont capital came after 20
straight days above the 50 mcg limit for smog particles.
