Average age of public employees rises

The average age of an Italian civil servant was 50 at the end of 2015, rising by six years and four months over the previous 14 years, the State General Accounting Department said Friday.
    "In the 2001-2015 period the average age of personnel grew by six years and four months", the department said, adding however that there are "significant differences in various sectors".
