Italian police on Thursday
arrested 35 businessmen and impounded 54 firms across Italy in a
probe into alleged contract rigging involving the
Calabrian-based 'Ndrangheta mafia, judicial sources said.
The arrestees are suspected of landing dozens of public
contracts with the help of the Mob.
'Ndrangheta is Italy's richest and most powerful mafia.
It controls the European cocaine trade.
