A 37-year-old Ukrainian woman
was stopped by police in Naples' central Piazza Garibaldi late
on Monday as she about to throw her new born baby in a trash
container, sources said Tuesday. The police were made suspicious
when they saw blood stains on her. When asked what she had in a
plastic bag, she said it was rubbish that she was throwing away.
The woman and the child were both admitted to Naples Loreto Mare
and their condition is good, sources said.
