The mayor of the Marche
village of Ussita, one of the places worst hit by Wednesday's
earthquakes, said Thursday that the majority of its buildings
are unfit for use. "It's disaster," said Ussita Mayor Marco
Rinaldi after a meeting with firefighters. "I think 80% of homes
are inaccessible and people are caving in psychologically with
the new tremors. The village is devastated".
