Some 1,400 migrants heading for
Italy were saved in 13 operations off the coast of Libya
Thursday, the Italian Coast Guard said.
The asylum seekers were picked up by the ship Enterprise,
part of the EUNAVFOR Med mission's operation Sophia, and by
vessels from the NGOs Boat Refugee Foundation, MOAS, MSF and Sea
Watch, as well as by the Coast Guard ship Gregoretti.
