A man has been arrested in
Turin on charges of robbing a bank in order to give the booty to
his daughter as a wedding present.
Five other people were also arrested in connection with the
robbery on August 26, which fleeced 150,000 euros.
The arrests were made shortly before the wedding ceremony.
The suspects had reportedly travelled to the northern city
from Naples to attend the wedding celebration.
They are accused of threatening the bank manager and
clients during the robbery and of abducting them and locking
them into a room before making off with the loot.
The gang had allegedly also planned another robbery, to be
carried out after the wedding.
