Perugia University Dean Franco
Moriconi said Tuesday students who reside in the towns and
villages affected by last week's devastating earthquake won't
have to pay tuition in the 2016-2017 academic year.
The exoneration is valid for residents of the Umbria
municipalities of Cascia, Norcia, Monteleone di Spoleto and
Preci, the Marche villages of Acquasanta Terme, Arquata del
Tronto, Montefortino, Montegallo, and Montemonaco, the Abruzzo
locations of Campotosto, Capitignano, Montereale, Rocca Santa
Maria, and Valle Castellana, and the hard-hit mountain villages
of Accumoli and Amatrice, where most of the 292 overall victims
died.
