Three people were killed in a
motorway pile-up near Orvieto Friday. The three were in a Fiat
Punto which caught fire after being hit by a truck on the A1
north-south motorway, rescue services said. According to a
preliminary police reconstruction, the Punto slowed down and the
truck, which was carrying oxygen, slammed into it from behind.
The car hit the lefthand guardrail, spun around and caught fire.
