Security officials seized thousands
of cars, motorcycles and trucks and carried out several arrests
in a three-day-long nationwide operation against thefts and
robberies that involved 13,500 police officers and wrapped up
Monday.
The operation was coordinated by a service tasked with
controlling the territory from the Central Anticrime Direction
(DAC) and involved 103 police precincts, road and border police
officials, along with crime prevention units and scientific
police.
