Police have arrested a
47-year-old man for arson and attempted murder after he locked
his 18-year-old daughter inside the family camper and set it on
fire, sources said Wednesday.
The teen climbed out a window to safety, but the vehicle
was destroyed. The motive remains unclear.
The incident took place late last night on the outskirts of
Bologna.
The suspect was named as Pistoia-born Bosnian, Martin
Halilovic, described as a "nomad".
He is the father of Sonic Halilovic, who was arrested in
February 2013 for running over and killing retired mechanic
Quinto Orsi, 72, while fleeing in a stolen car.
The younger Halilovic is serving six years eight months for
manslaughter.
"I taught him to steal, not to kill," Halilovic Sr.
reportedly testified at his son's trial.
