(ANSA) - Rome, May 19 - A television show on Palermo police
chief Boris Giuliano, who was killed by the Mafia in 1979, will
debut on prime time on State broadcaster Rai1 next Monday and
Tuesday, May 23-24, to open a week dedicated to law and order in
Italy, producers said Thursday at the film's premiere in Rome.
Late anti-Mafia hero Boris Giuliano "is a role model that we
must continue to look up to", said actor Adriano Giannini, who
plays the role of Giuliano in the film directed by Ricky
Tognazzi.
The film, 'Boris Giuliano', will focus on the policeman's
life and his innovative investigative methods in fighting the
Mafia, as well as on his team.
The cast includes Nicole Grimaudo as Giuliano's wife Maria.
Giuliano was shot in the back by leading Mafia boss Leoluca
Bagarella in July 1979.
