The Siena prosecutors office
said on Tuesday that it had ordered that the body of David
Rossi, the former head of communications of troubled bank Monte
dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) who apparently committed suicide in
March 2013, be exhumed.
A lawyer representing Rossi's family, who believe he was
murdered, requested the move. Rossi was found dead after
apparently throwing himself from the window of an office.
His death came shortly after it emerged that a shady
series of derivative and structured-finance deals produced
losses of 720 million euros for the bank.
