Police arrested a 54-year-old
man accused of attempted murder on Monday after he drove 11
kilometers with his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend trapped on the
front bonnet of his car.
The victim is in hospital and has been given a prognosis of
10 days for recovery.
Police said a fight broke out between the man and the
victim, who threw himself onto the bonnet of the car in an
attempt to block it from leaving.
The victim's hand got stuck in the car door's vertical
pillar and the man then drove away.
He was stopped only after his girlfriend, who was riding in
the passenger seat, called the Carabinieri police.
