Three people have been
arrested in Kenya over the homicide of Italian doctor Rita
Fossaceca at the weekend, local media quoted police spokesman
Charles Owino as saying on Monday. Fossaceca, a 51-year-old from
the northern Italian city of Novara, was shot dead after trying
to protect her mother when she was attacked by a
machete-wielding assailant, apparently during a robbery, in
Mijomboni, a small village near Malindi. She frequently went to
Kenya as a volunteer for the For Life NGO.
