Rome on Wednesday experienced the latest in a string of false alarms since the November 13 Islamic extremist attacks in Paris with a report of a bomb at the Fatebenefratelli hospital in the city centre.
Police bomb disposal experts with dogs were dispatched to the scene after authorities received a call from a telephone box warning of an explosive device at the hospital on the Tiberina island. Searches revealed the call to be a false alarm.
