An anti-pedophilia organization
has discovered and turned over to police 6,000 videos and photos
featuring 1,430 children in situations of abuse, sources said
Tuesday.
Investigators are analyzing the images, which were
discovered on a foreign server, in order to identify the victims
and the perpetrators.
"They are horrifying," said Father Fortunato Di Noto, a
Catholic priest and founder of a non-profit called Meter, which
hunts pedophiles on the Internet among other activities.
"Sexual torture, tiny children tied up, gagged, handcuffed,
raped".
The images were made in what looked like professional sets
as well as home-made ones, and some of the pictures were stolen
snaps of naked children on beaches.
Meter was founded in 1986 to combat pedophilia, child
exploitation, and to protect children's rights.
