A 52-year-old community social
worker at a Sicilian residential centre for mentally disabled
girls has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse, police
sources said Monday.
A local judge confirmed the arrest warrant and ordered the
man be jailed pending trial on charges that include having sex
with two other minors who also are under investigation.
The social worker allegedly also induced minors at the
centre to smoke hash and showed them his own homemade porn
films, sources said.
Investigators tapped his telephone conversations, sources
said.
