Doctors in Milan have resuscitated
and rehabilitated a boy who underwent cardiac arrest after being
submerged under water for 42 minutes a month ago, officials
reported on Tuesday.
Milan's San Raffaele hospital announced that the
14-year-old boy who was trapped under water on April 24 is
"fine", after undergoing a month of medical procedures.
The boy was playing with some friends in Milan's Naviglio
canal area when he fell into the water. First responders rescued
the boy.
Due to circulation issues following extreme medical
procedures, the boy lost the bottom of his right leg.
