The courtroom where a defendant opened fire on April 9, killing two people before making for the office of a judge to shoot him too, reopened on Tuesday with scheduled hearings in three trials for bankruptcy and armed robbery.
Proceedings began around 9.30 local time with a minute's silence for the victims.
Judge Fernando Ciampi, lawyer Lorenzo Alberto Claris Appiani and co-defendant Giorgio Erba were gunned down by 57-year-old Claudio Giardiello on the day of a trial hearing for fraudulent bankruptcy in which he was implicated.
"I wanted to take revenge on those who ruined me," Giardiello said immediately following his arrest.
He had his loaded gun in his pocket when he was apprehended and said he had intended to kill others, then himself.
Tuesday's session was presided by the same panel of judges present on the morning of the shooting. They took refuge in chambers to avoid being hurt.
