A 32-year-old woman likely
poisoned her two-year-old son before killing herself with a
knife in their home in the town of Melito, near Naples, police
said Monday.
Both the woman and child were found stained with blood when
her brother and sister together broke into a bedroom in her
apartment, sources said.
They had become concerned about the woman, identified as
Anna Esposito, a factory worker.
The siblings had used a neighbour's key to enter the home,
then broke through another locked door inside to find the
bodies.
Police said Esposito recently separated from her husband.
