Twenty four people were arrested on Wednesday morning in a Camorra mafia bust as part of an investigation into rigged tenders for the Caserta local health department, investigators said. The investigation centers on tenders that were allegedly awarded to businesses belonging to the powerful Casalesi clan, with the support of local politicians and administrators.
Police are also seizing assets as part of the early-morning raid, in which arrests were made in Caserta, Naples, and Verona.
