An Italian doctor fighting
for his life after being infected with Ebola in Sierra Leone is
"much better" after treatment at Rome's Spallanzani clinic for
infectious diseases, the president of the NGO Emergency, Cecilia
Strada, said Wednesday.
"Our doctor who contracted Ebola in Sierra Leone is still
being treated at the Spallanzani hospital but he is much better
- we can really say that we are starting to see the end of the
tunnel," Strada said on the fringes of a conference in Venice.
"Facing up to Ebola is certainly not a gentle stroll, but
now we are rather relieved, this is very, very positive".
