Gianluca Ciferri, a man who allegedly shot two former employees on Monday morning, was arrested on Monday afternoon for double homicide and taken to jail.
Mustafa Neomedim, 38, and Avdyli Valdet, 26, were killed. Police said Ciferri shot the men five or six times during an argument, after the men showed up at Ciferri's home brandishing an ax and demanding money they said they were owed for work they had done.
Investigators say Ciferri had sacked both of the men over the summer and the men subsequently filed a lawsuit against Ciferri, citing unpaid wages.
Ciferri told police that he shot the men in an act of self-defense.
