A man who beheaded a woman in
Rome Sunday stabbed her more than 40 times, including in the
face, before cutting her head off when she was already dead, an
autopsy said Wednesday.
She was stabbed at the rate of about one wound every few
seconds, it said.
The man also had bags ready to dispose of her body,
according to the autopsy which indicated he was ready to chop
her up.
Ukrainian home help Oksana Matsiuk, 38, was murdered by
35-year-old IT consultant Federico Leonelli.
The autopsy showed evidence of an "appalling" attack,
doctors said.
Lionelli was shot dead by police as he attacked them with
the knife, according to police.
