Campsites were evacuated along the
Tuscan coast and residents of Adriatic coastal towns were told
to stay indoors as bad weather continued Wednesday.
Two campsites near Livorno were evacuated after torrential
rains battered the Tuscan coast and entire Livorno province
remains under watch.
Technicians worked to repair damage caused when the Olona
river overflowed in the province of Varese, northwest of Milan.
Road repair crews are working to clear several roads that were
shut down due to water and mud damage, authorities said.
