(ANSA) - Milan, October 28 - Organisers at the Cibus is
Italy pavilion at Expo dedicated to Made in Italy food products
summed up their experience at the six-month Universal Exposition
on Wednesday and set out the plans for the future.
"The image of Italian food manufacturing that we have given
the world is one of an industry that is united in all its parts
- farming, processing, and distribution - and able to overcome
ancient rivalries," Italian food producers association
FederAlimentare President Luigi Scordamaglia said.
"It is a model of cooperation that will allow us to be more
competitive on the national and international stage, thanks also
to the government that has given unprecedented support to the
food industry by putting it at the centre of its policies to
relaunch the country," he said.
The format used by the Cibus is Italy pavilion combining
food shows and tastings, conferences and business meetings will
now be used in other trade fairs in Italy and abroad,
FederAlimentare said.
