(ANSA) - Milan, October 12 - An Expo pavilion sponsored by Italian chocolate makers Ferrero will be transformed into classrooms for African schoolchildren, the company announced Monday.
The Kinder + Sport pavilion will be divided up and parts of its structure taken to he border between Cameroon and the Central African Republic. The building will be then used as a classroom in which to teach children and refugees. Another part of the building will be used as a children's hospital in South Africa.
Speaking during a round table discussion on sustainable development and social enterprises at Expo, Ferrero President Francesco Paolo Fulci said the initiative was organised by the company "in the name of socially responsible business".
