(ANSA) - Milan, September 18 - Agronomists are presenting on
Friday their own world charter as proposals to be included in
the Milan Charter, at the conclusion of the VI World Congress of
Agronomists which was held at Expo this week.
The proposals will be presented to Agriculture Minister
Maurizio Martina.
The agronomists' world charter defines ethical principles
for professional development to protect food safety,
biodiversity and respect for local communities worldwide.
"Our professionalism, offering advanced technical
solutions, elevates our ethical responsibility to work for the
general interest and for social progress," said Andrea Sisti,
newly-elected president of the World Association of Agronomists.
