(ANSA) - Palermo, July 28 - Greece has organized a cooking show focusing on the celebrated Krokos Kozanis saffron at the Bio-Med Cluster at the Expo world's fair. The versatility of the spice first cultivated in ancient Greece was exhibited through the making of several sweet and salty dishes. Taking part was chef Dimitris Geroutis from Pavia's Hotel Moderno, who made saffron risotto, and gelato maker Michalis Tyrakis. Typical Sicilian dishes were made by chef Franco Vescera, who added saffron to them.
