Once EU member States give
their approval the European Commission can ask for corrections
to Italy's 2019 budget, Economic Affairs Commissioner Pierre
Moscovici said after the EC rejected Italy's budget Wednesday.
"Before kicking off the infringement procedure we are
awaiting the views of the member States," he said.
He said the rejection had been "an inevitable consequence" of
the package breaching Stability Pact rules.
Moscovici also said "doubts persists on Italian growth".
