Growth will be better than IMF says - PM

'We are very determined' says premier at Florence university

(ANSA) - Florence, October 9 - Growth will be higher than International Monetary Fund forecasts, Premier Giuseppe Conte said Tuesday.
    "We trust that growth will be assuredly higher" than IMF forecasts, Conte said on the sidelines of one of his law lectures at Florence university.
    "We are very determined, we have thought a lot about this budget, this line of action," he said.
    The government's draft 2019 budget sets growth targets of 1.5% in 2019, 1.6% in 2020 and 1.4% in 2021.
    European Affairs Minister Paolo Savona said Monday Italy should be able to manage % growth in 2019 and 3% growth in 2020.
