Fitch on Friday lowered its
growth forecast for Italy to 1.2% this year, from 1.3% in June,
but confirmed 1.2% for 2019 and 0.9% for 2020.
The ratings agency said in an update to its Global Economic
Outlook that second-quarter Italian growth was "half what we
forecast in the GEO in June".
It said an international tariff war was crimping exports and
welcomed investments but said they posed some risks.
Several international bodies have recently shaved Italian
growth forecasts.
